Your college essay is a chance to say “HI, IT’S ME.” Look how great I am and the challenges I’ve faced and what I want to do with my life. It can be truly fun and undoubtedly rewarding to read what you’ve written, polished to a fine shine. But deciding what to write will be at least one standard deviation easier than knowing what NOT to write. We want the reader tuned in, without the distractions of an entertaining but unnecessary side story. Eyes on the prize.

How will you answer the application prompt? What story will you tell? We’ll talk it out and brainstorm a few ideas.

1-Hour Feedback Session
Approximately two weeks after our brainstorming session, you’ll provide me with your first draft. I’ll provide substantive comments to share with you at the feedback session.
